Henri AVANCINI - About me

I was born in 1973 in the north of Argentina, in a city called Curuzú-Cuatiá, Corrientes. In 1978 I went to the South of Argentina, a city called San Martín de los Andes, Neuquén (in the Patagonian Andes Mountains). When I finished my secondary school (at Technician National School), I went to Neuquen city (1992) to study Computer Science till 1997. After that (1998 to the mid of 2001) I was traveling a lot between Tandil, Buenos Aires, and Neuquen 'cause my postgraduate studies in ISISTAN and my work in Neuquen. From August 2001 on I am doing my Ph.D. research at ISTI-CNR in Pisa, Italy, where I've lived till now.

I grow up in San Martín de los Andes, I used to cycling, fishing, camping and other outside activities in this beautiful small city. I enjoy reading too. These are my favorite hobbies. I also like climbing, traveling and knowing people & cultures. I work, in winter seasons, in Chapelco Ski & Summer Resort as a ski instructor since 1990. In 1997/1998 I worked in Arinsal Ski Center, La Massana, Principat d´Andorra as a ski instructor too.

In Argentina I often go to San Martín de los Andes to share time with my family and friends, practice some outdoors activities and driving my jeep (well, I spend a lot of time repairing it -a 2nd. World War jeep Willy´s!). When I have the opportunity I spend my free time on mountains.
